Kits Sports Center: Staff

Tony DiJohn-Athletic Operations Director
Tony has held the position of Athletic Operations Director at Kits Sports Center since 2000.  Prior to taking this position, Tony had been in the grocery industry for fifteen years as a sales manager/purchasing agent.  He has lived in the Lake Zurich community since 1987 and has been active in the Ela Soccer Club as both a coach and board member.  Prior to accepting this full time managing position, Tony worked part-time for Kits Sports Center focusing on the youth basketball programs.  Tony's love of coaching and the community will bring continued growth to Kits Sports Center.

Jill Cornell-Business Manager
Jill began working at Kits Sports Center in 2000 as the Assistant Athletic Manager.  In 2006, Jill took over the position of Business Manager, overseeing the bookkeeping operations of Kits Sports Center.  Prior to accepting her position at Kits, Jill completed her masters degree in Public Administration with an emphasis on Parks & Recreation Administration at Central Michigan University.  While studying at CMU, Jill worked for the Campus Recreational Services helping manage Intramural Sports & Programming.
 
Tom Chmela-Soccer Camp Director
Tom has been coaching soccer since 1976, including a time as assistant coach for the NCAA Division I powerhouse Eastern Illinois University Men's Team and the head coach of the varsity boys and girls soccer teams at Evanston and Gordon Tech High School.  Coach Chmela holds a U.S.S.F. National Coach "B" License along with a Brazilian National License.  Tom is currently the head trainer of the Ela Elite soccer program.  The amazing success of his teams culminated in Tom Chmela being named the 2007 IYSA Girls Soccer Coach of the Year!  His Ela Elite teams have won two State Cup Championships, many 1st place finishes at prestigious tournaments across the country and were invited to play in the Inaugural National League comprised of the top 8 teams in the country.
